Finding the right network marketing product can make all of the difference in the world in terms of the success that you see, or the failures and disappointments that you experience. No matter what your skills are or how great you are in recruiting people or selling something, the product is the ultimate bottom line. It's easy to get caught up in promoting and utilizing the same thing, but is your network marketing product really living up to its expectations?
There are many different ways that you can analyze a situation such as this. In addition, it's important to consider that not every person is going to have the same level of expectations. The kinds of returns that you're seeking might be way above the reach of somebody else just getting started. Conversely, they could be entirely too low for somebody expecting nothing but the most massive profits and growth.
Therefore, you really have to consider what you individually are expecting to get from something. You can break this down in terms of the revenue that you see month to month, or in each quarter. You can break it down by total sales or customers, or growth in sales, customers or revenue. You can also look at it from the recruitment sense of how many new people you've brought into the fold, what kind of growth you're experiencing with that, and whether these individuals are then producing results with the network marketing product in question.
One of the most important steps in this process though is first having clear goals and expectations to begin with. Trying to judge something after the fact without having predefined criteria can make things very confusing for everyone involved. Therefore you want to lay out some goals and thoughts before getting started, or at regular intervals along the way. Make your goals specific, measurable and timely, so that you can track your progress, note how you're doing and really compare whether or not you met them.
It can be daunting to have to change midstream to a new product, service or system. However, sticking with a network marketing product that isn't producing just because it's easier and because you're used to it isn't going to get anyone anywhere. Sometimes you just need to jump ship and head to greener pastures, and you can't be afraid to pull that trigger when the time comes. Even if it's more work now, it's less work and better returns in the future.
So be sure to properly evaluate whether or not your network marketing product has been working for you. For many people, their products are falling short, but they still don't make a change, while many other people don't know whether or not it's falling short because they have no established criteria. Set goals for yourself, work on achieving them, but never be shy about moving to a better system in the future when your own isn't measuring up. After all, the point is to grow and see great returns, not to stay loyal to something that isn't producing.
