When it comes to owning your own home based business, you need to learn the ins and outs of network marketing. We see so many people make network marketing look like a breeze but then when it comes to doing it on your own, nothing seems to go right and you feel as if you are missing something. That most everything they learned about having a network marketing business is not correct. Ann Sieg also had the same problems, which is why she set out to find a way to make her network marketing business a success.

In her journey of figuring things out, she wrote The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing so that other home based business owners could benefit from findings. Below is her list of the 7 most important lies that you are told when it comes to network marketing. By learning about the 7 lies of Network Marketing, you will be able to get your company up and running the way you intended it to be.

The first lie you are told is that "everyone is your prospect". Out of all the lies you are told, this is probably the worst one. Many people believed this jargon and pretty much tackled anyone and everyone they came across trying to throw their sales pitch on them. The only thing the succeeded in doing was giving network marketing a bad name. People run away when they see or here the sales pitch coming about someones "best product ever".

The second lie you are told is "This really isn't sales. We just share products with people." This can have some serious ramifications if you are taught by this rule. People think that because it is sharing not selling, they do not need to have any sales skills and they are setting themselves up for failure with their false expectations.

The third lie you are told is that "Anyone can do this". While this statement does have some truth to it, it can be very misleading as not everyone has the same skills. Some people are natural born sellers and others have to work at it so it is not fair to let them believe that they can do this right off the bat.

The fourth lie is "we will build your business for you". It is nice concepts to have someone do all of the work for you and you sit back and make money but if that were true they wouldn't need you in the mix at all. If it sounds to good to be true, it is.

The fifth lie is "We have the best product ever". While your product may indeed be a great one, you will not sell it if you do not market it right.

The sixth lie is that "You just don't have enough belief". Having belief in the system is not what makes it work. You have to market the product properly in order to start seeing a profit. It will not happen if you do not work at it. Having belief that it will work is good but it is not all that you need to make it work.

The seventh lie is "The proven system". If you really pick this one apart, you will find that it is all of the other lies combined. People claim that their system is the one that is proven to work but if that was the case they would be rich beyond their wildest dreams and not be trying to sell you on the concept.

Those are The 7 Great Lies Of Network Marketing and if you learn to recognize them you will have a much better chance of being a success then falling prey to the lies listed above. Keep focused on your goal and learn to market your product the right way.
